Dj e produttore svizzero, ispirato dal blues e dal funk, Kalabrese è capace di mescolare suoni indie e musica elettronica e di giocare con le voci, che diventano elemento importante delle sue produzioni.
Si tratta di un album che viene direttamente dal cuore del produttore svizzero, dal suono maturo, ancora più’ autentico, reale e caldo, molto vicino alla realtà’ dei tempi moderni e condizionato dalla pandemia, che non ha affatto risparmiato il mondo della musica.
La prima parte uscirà’ nell’autunno del 2021 (11 canzoni – doppio vinile), mentre la seconda nella primavera del 2022 (sempre doppio vinile). L’album, che nasce in un periodo particolare per la musica e per il clubbing, presenta un tono meno euforico ma si percepisce la voglia di ripartire e ricominciare a fare musica. È sua volontà’ quella di creare (musicalmente) un mondo che trasmetta calore e fiducia, dove basta chiudere gli occhi per iniziare a sognare, viaggiare e ballare.
“Let Love Rumpel” e’ anche un album solidale, una produzione che appartiene alla comunità’, ed infatti grazie ad una sensazionale campagna di crowdfunding su wemakeit.com, che l’artista svizzero e’ riuscito a lavorare in maniera più’ rilassata e spensierata, dedicando anima e corpo ai suoni ed alle produzioni insieme ai suoi musicisti.
Non ci resta che ascoltare, chiudere gli occhi ed iniziare a viaggiare anche noi sulle note di Kalabrese. La speranza e’ che tempi migliori torneranno presto, che torneremo a muovere insieme i nostri corpi e che chi di dovere si ricordi che la musica e’ una forma d’arte che aiuta a vivere tutti in maniera più’ rilassata. Kalabrese “the independent dancer” will be out on the 1st of October with his third album “Let Love Rumpel – Part 1”.
Swiss DJ and producer, inspired by blues and funk, capable of mixing indie sounds and electronic music and playing with the voices, which become an important element of his productions.
This is an album that comes directly from the heart of the Swiss producer, with a mature sound, even more authentic, real and warm, very close to the reality of modern times and influenced by the pandemic, which has not spared the world of music at all. The first part will be released in the autumn of 2021 (11 songs – double vinyl), while the second part in the spring of 2022 (always double vinyl).
The album, which was born in a particular period for music and clubbing, has a less euphoric tone but you feel the desire to start living and making music again. He wants to create (musically speaking) a world that transmits warmth and confidence, where you just need to close your eyes to start dreaming, traveling and dancing.
